  • Shane is the real deal! I met Shane in 2011 and have been working with him since. I lost over 60 lbs working with him. Aside from Shane, would say I have worked with over 5 different trainers in my life. I felt most were unprofessional, they would show off and would even get distracted by other members (some would even flirt on my dime!). Also, I constantly felt like they just wanted to keep selling me sessions, even when I clearly had more than enough remaining. I never liked working with trainers. Shane is different. Shane is truly a genuine person. He's not trying to con you or constantly trying to sell you sessions. He helped address my hesitation of working out in front of others. He really took the time to learn more about me and my interests and how we could incorporate new things into our workouts. For example, I have always been interested in boxing and MMA, Shane would have days where the plan revolved around boxing and related movements (boxing is a great cardio option!!) But more importantly, he really understands and is a master in the field. If Shane wanted to, he could show you how to lose 15lbs in a week using some cheap tricks which aren't sustainable. Unfortunately there are many "shortcuts " in the health and fitness world that can be exploited. But that's not what he does. He takes pride in permanent and real results. His priorities and intentions were clear, he wanted to ensure things were being done and followed through the right way. The healthy way. Shane would customize and plan out the workouts ahead of time so that I knew what to expect for the coming sessions. We would target certain parts of the body on different days and even had accompanying nutrition plans. With Shane I learned that eating certain things on certain days really makes a difference on the results. After losing around 6Olbs with Shane's guidance, I really got to the point where I felt comfortable working out alone and coming up with plans for myself based on what I learned and picked up from him. Even then, Shane continued to monitor my progress and continued to be supportive. I have been able to keep the weight off and continue to work on my fitness and a big part, if not the biggest, has been all of the support Shane has provided. I truly am thankful for all that Shane has done for me. I am excited for Shane and Jaret as I really believe Colosseum Fitness will be a great contribution to the community. Knowing both Shane and Jaret, I know they will help a lot of people reach their goals and go beyond what they were expecting. Definitely give them a try, you won't regret it!
